Beta Testing Update

The Writing Retreat Directory opened for beta testing on June 2, 2023. We limited the number of beta testers so we could resolve any issues before opening it up to more writing retreat hosts.

Beta Test Results

We're thrilled to say the beta test was very successful. Here is a breakdown with the numbers:

• Eighteen writing retreat hosts signed up for a promotion plan
  • 16 for Essentials Free Trial
  • 2 for Premium 6-month
    
• Nineteen writing retreat listings for seven different countries were added.
  
• It takes less than 10 minutes to sign up for a plan and post your first writing retreat listing.
  
• Only one support ticket has been submitted and the person canceled their ticket because they found the answer in the Knowledge Base.

The Next Phase

Now that we know there are no major issues to fix, we're moving out of the beta testing and into normal operations. We won't make a lot of changes quickly, so you and we have time to adjust. 

Here are the updates taking effect on October 1, 2023:

• The Essentials Free Trial plan will be reduced from 3 months to 1 month, which still gives you plenty of time to test the waters.
• The social media promotion included in the Essentials Plan will be reduced from 1x per platform per 30 days to 1x per platform for every 3 months you're on the plan. If you're on the month to month plan, this means your writing retreat will be promoted on our social media channels once during your initial month, and every 90 days after that for as long as you renew.
• We'll no longer offer the discounted price for the Premium 6-month Plan pricing.
